Free Amigurumi Crochet Christmas Wreath

Picture of finished crochet along wreath
Picture of what you'll need for crochet along
This Christmas Wreath pattern was originally issued as a Free crochet along at the end of 2022. As it's a larger project, it's broken down into three parts - click on the buttons below for each one. It's a great project for using up odds and ends from your yarn stash. The characters are quick, easy and fun to make - and also make great baubles to hang on your Christmas tree.
The patterns all use basic amigurumi techniques and are quick and easy - I've created Photo Tutorials for any bits I think newer crocheters might not have done before. You can find the Photo Tutorials HERE.

What You'll Need
Yarn:
I used 4 ply Scheepjes Catona Cotton - 125m per 50g. Each character needs about 30-40g - about 10g of which is the basic head shape for each. I used about 100g of the same yarn for the Wreath Cover and Hanging Loop. You may need slightly more or less depending on your natural tension or if you're using a different brand.
Colours: Red, Green, White, Blue, Yellow, Pale Beige, Brown, Orange, Black.

If you want to use the same yarn as me, you'll need the following in Scheepjes Catona 4 ply Cotton:

Hot Red (115) - 60 g approx
Apple Green (389) - 60 g approx
Snow White (106) - 50g approx
Capri Blue (261) - 50g approx
Yellow Gold (208) - 20g approx
Linen (505) - 30 g approx
Ginger Gold (383) - 20g approx
Royal Orange (189) - less than 10 g (just for Snowman Nose)
Bet Black (110) - 10 g approx

Hook: I used a 2mm hook for the above yarn.
Wreath Ring: I used a 25cm diameter polystyrene craft ring - available from lots of sources online.
Other Kit: Pins, scissors and a yarn needle.
